You should take a look at the America First Party's platform. While it is a Judeo-Christian party, it fits in largely with your Realist party. I'm not recommending that you join but simply pointing out a significant segment that shares a lot of common ground with you. The Constitution Party is similar though a little more religious.

With all due respect, I think you're too hateful of that particular group.

They don't like Falwell, war, or the police state; and do favour fair trade, small government, a completely transparent government, etc.

There's a lot of common ground here. Populists or whatever you want to call them need to work together to pursue most of what you labeled as "realist." After that, we can fight over:

- school prayer

- mentioning that the general concept of creation is an alternative theory to evolution but there is nothing certain to study regarding it so the focus should be on evolution which clearly occurs to a degree albeit not necessarily all of the way from pond scum

- abortion, gay marriage, and adoption of children by homosexuals, drug laws, etc.

Wouldn't America be a better place if these were the issues we were fighting over rather than massive deficits, corruption, pointless wars, Patriot Act, and open borders? We can unite to defeat these major issues and settle the smaller ones afterwards.
