Guerilla warfare is defined as an effective method to combat a larger foe through ambush,surprise,raids and suicide attacks by drawing the enemy onto turf that THEY are familiar; most often fading afterwards into the countryside to resume domestic activities.The Iraqi war is guerrilla warfare and has always been one. The combatants have many unidentifiable faces. The United States Army is not physically or mentally equipted to combat this invisible enemy! We,the larger force in this arena, are fighting a Guerrilla WAR much to the advantage of the terrorists! Why? Is it our benevolent attitude or are we concerned of world opinion and are sacrificing troops to display our false sense of pride? ONCE THE ENEMY HAS SHOWN THEIR INTENTIONS-THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS and ALL weapons at our disposal should be used. Yes, exactly like Japan. How many GI’s did that save? Life was more precious then! The Japanese were fanatical and so are the insurgents! THAT war was won with brute force.If we have not the stomach or the intentions to win THEN DO NOT START! Yes thousands will be killed, perhaps hundreds of thousands: Combatants and non-combatants. TOO BAD! THOUSANDS WERE MURDERED IN THE WTC. REMEMBER? Is it not them or us or shall we sacrifice our lives in the interests of fairness? The Iraqi population is 25 million;ours 300. That is the tragedy of war; kill or be killed! Yes it is that simple! Hundreds are killed every day in Iraq. This guerilla war is wasting our resources and our best military men in this charade. American troops are fired on by all sides; we are fair game! The insurgents know that Bush has deemed that our soldiers will be martyred and are taking advantage of it! We are fighting an enemy on their terms and on their turf. WHAT A MILITARY BLUNDER! HOW STUPID. We seem to have this doctrine of fairness…….and we will carry it to our grave! We are told that the outcome of this war will determine our survival!! It is? Then why are we letting a rag tag army of ill equipped terrorists win?? If WWII were fought like this one; we would have lost, as we are losing now. Shall I mention, to add fuel to the fire, that there was no hard evidence to prove that Saddam had WMD’s! In fact there is more evidence the invasion of Iraq was politically contrived………This is the ‘War’ McCain, Bushs’ parrot, is backing. Someone should clean up his cage! What evidence WAS presented to these legislators to vote for this war? Nothing that could be traced. Talk;that’s all! All circumstantial and 3000+ American Soldiers are condemned to death! Was there satellite photos of the ICBM launching pads? No! (Remember the Cuban missilecrises. Plenty of photos of THOSE missile sites!) Was there a paper trail? No? Inspectors were in Iraq for TEN YEARS AND NOTHING WAS FOUND! Yet Bush knew! Remember the Gulf war virtually destroyed Iraqis military capabilities!
So the legislators voted along party lines. Wonder if they spent 5 minutes examining the evidence or did they just rubber stamp Bush’s nonexistent evidence. The pentagon houses FIFTY THOUSAND EMPLOYEES! Nothing! What of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the FBI; the CIA; Army intelligence? Nothing! NO hard evidence! More time is spent scrutinizing the verdict of a CONVICTED murderer! Wonder if they thought about the trauma a body receives when both legs are blown off or a mans guts are blown out of his body? They live in a sterile world far from the carnage! Wonder if they care now? Apparently not! Wonder if they thought about the sorrow and horror a family is subject to when their son comes back mutilated and the TRUTH IS DENIED THEM! This same logic was applied for entering the Vietnam war! THINK what great things could have been accomplished by the 55 THOUSANDS American LIVES THAT WERE LOST BY AN Unthinking AND UNCARING CONGRESS. Think, also, what could have been accomplished with almost ONE TRILLION dollars squandered BY THIS SAME CONGRESS. Their excuse…’we didn’t realize; faulty intelligence; I don’t recall? Those are not excuses. Incompetents is! When can incompetence be designated as treason, mass murder? I don’t think that there is a word in the English language to describe what they did! Is no one culpable for the mass genocide of these American troops and thousands of noncombatants? Is this any less evil than the holocaust suffered by European Jews; initiated and executed by a Fascist State? America weeps for their fallen victims; DC continues in its state of denial! Stay the course? I think NOT
