The N.Y. Times hearts Rudy Giuliani
Head over to Digby’s as she takes a look at Michael Powell’s love letter to Rudy Giuliani on the pages of the New York Times.
One line by Powell is comical in that it takes every bad quality of George W. Bush, and assigns them to Giuliani as good qualities:
Ideological consistency is not Mr. Giuliani’s groove; leadership and destiny are. So is self-assurance.
It seems the Times has found their candidate. Now it will be interesting to see if the U.S. is ready for another visionary President who believes he’s leading a charge for historical destiny and American survival in a perpetual war for existence against the Middle East. As well as one who will actually joke about his authoritarian leanings.
