The real frightening thing: that 28% of Americans approve of Bush’s pardon of Scooter

July 2, 2007 by William K. Wolfrum

That Bush pardoned (commuted my ass, it’s a pardon) Scooter Libby is not a big surprise to me. I’ve lived through four Republican presidents and ever last one of them broke the law with wild abandon and obstructed justice at every turn. They’re the oligarchy – they’ll never believe the rules apply to them.

But what’s really scary is that even 28 percent of Americans, or so, approve of it. One out of four Americans does not believe the rule of law applies to the ruling class. That’s fucked up.

Sounds like our President. Excuse me, your president. I live in the CSA. Our President is Bob Riley.

Even Bill Clinton let Susan McDougal sit in prison for a while. Wait until the media draws that comparison… that’s when the fun will start :)

[...] * saying “commutation” feels dishonest. Calling it a pardon sounds reasonable. [...]
