McCain’s next attack: “Obama called me old!!!”

September 17, 2008 by William K. Wolfrum

Just using the past as a way to judge the future here is all. But I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing a McCain campaign attack on this Barack Obama statement:

“Yesterday, John McCain actually said that if he’s president that he’ll take on, and I quote, ‘the old boys network in Washington.’ Now I’m not making this up. This is somebody who’s been in Congress for twenty-six years, who put seven of the most powerful Washington lobbyists in charge of his campaign. And now he tells us that he’s the one who’s gonna’ to take on the old boys network. The old boys network? In the McCain campaign that’s called a staff meeting. Come, on!”

Seriously, the McCain Campaign needs something to distract the country from noticing how the economy is folding like a cheap tent because of laws he created.

Expect the attack ad from McCain out tomorrow. They’ll selectively edit and flash “Old” “Boys” “Come on!” The ad will be titled “Outraged!!”

Just watch. I feel good about this one.

I think you’re right. And that’s a damn good little zinger IMO.

But let me ask you this, since when does a Maverick, a tough ex-POW mind you, a Maverick I mean to say, whine and bitch because someone called him a name?

The McCain campaign has been playing the victim card hot and heavy since Palin was announced as VP, so I think you’re spot on about their next move.
