Help International Medical Corps save starving children with just one click

September 23, 2008 by

While American politicians debate just how much money they need to give to corrupt financiers and the like, children around the world are dying of malnutrition. And there will be more dead children tomorrow, just as there were many that died yesterday. Every, single year, up to 5 million children under the age of five die of malnutrition around the globe. And even as you read this, more children who have lived lives of will die horrible deaths.

Basically, every year there is a holocaust of children around the world. It’s not pleasant to think about. So most of us don’t.

But there are those who do think about the deaths of millions of children from malnutrition. And there are those who act upon it. International Medical Corps is made up of those who both think and act to help. And with one click of your mouse, you can help them help starving children.

From International Medical Corps Web site:

International Medical Corps has been matched to one of the Top 25 in American Express’ Members Projects, ‘Saving the Lives of Malnourished Children.’ Chosen out of 1,190 projects, “Saving the Lives of Malnourished Children” is now eligible to receive up to $1.5 million in funding. The funding – made possible by your votes – would bring a vital lifeline to hungry and malnourished children around the world.
