In a “right of center” world, Rupert Murdoch to “manage down head count”

Despite having every last Fox News pundit agree that the U.S. is a “right of center nation,” American citizens voted decidedly left of center on Tuesday. And it seems that in 2008, American citizens have tuned into Fox News at decidedly left-of-center rate, as well.
Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp (NWSa.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) cut its full-year forecast and posted a worse-than-expected 30 percent drop in quarterly profit because of falling TV advertising. Shares dived 12 percent.
And now, the money quote:
“We’re managing down headcount wherever appropriate,” Murdoch told analysts on a conference call, adding his company had a good handle on its costs and “we’ll ratchet them down accordingly.”
I’m thinking Shepherd Smith may be one of the first to see his headcount ratcheted down.

The market is apparently down on right wing bullshit at the moment. But they’ll be back in a couple of months time, making up crap and drawing ridiculous conclusions based on what ‘some are saying’.

One of two things: The server was hacked or there was an overload of readers and it overwhelmed the server. I’d say the latter, as I had two posts that got several outside links to them simultaneously.
However, it sounds way cooler to say I was hacked, so I’ll stick with that.
