Michael Steele to reinvent GOP as Democrats

March 11, 2009 by William K. Wolfrum

That Michael Steele was voted to run the RNC remains one of the great mysteries of our time. Did no one ever watch Steele play pundit on cable news shows? The dude’s out there. And, judging by this interview with GQ, he’s possibly a Democrat:

Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion?

Yeah. I mean, again, I think that’s an individual choice.

You do?

Yeah. Absolutely.

Do you think homosexuality is a choice?

Oh, no. I don’t think I’ve ever really subscribed to that view, that you can turn it on and off like a water tap. Um, you know, I think that there’s a whole lot that goes into the makeup of an individual that, uh, you just can’t simply say, oh, like, “Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being gay.” It’s like saying, “Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being black.”

Seriously, the GOP would have been much better off going with Richard Steele.

It just goes to show you that the Republican will do anything to win elections, even if it means becoming Democrats.
