    Indeed. I blame the two “right-wing extremist” killings for providing cover and distraction in the media. Also, since the DHS report was 11 or so news cycles back, no one seems to talk about that in connection with the killings either.

    But the torture thing was never intended to make it to the public, I think. Much like DADT and other issues that initially were at the top of the agenda, I think the administration is hoping we all forget about it until much later.

    Personally, I’m doing my part to help the administration by surrounding myself with shiny objects and blaring Iggy Pop.

    As a nation we have ADD. And we can’t seem to multitask either. Least of all, Obama. I’m so disappointed and disgusted.

    Empathy can only go so far. No need to torture yourself out of guilt.
