Random thoughts on random things

Isn’t it fantastic that all the politicians, pundits and columnists who have been wrong about everything are now telling us how to handle things in Iran? I think the U.S.. needs a “Supreme Leader Czar.” Someone to take care of all the problems we have with Supreme Leaders. Maybe create a “Department of Supreme Leaders Activities.” The U.S. Senate passed a non-binding resolution to apologize for slavery. Coming in 2185 – a non-binding shrug of the shoulders to Iraq for killing and displacing so many of them. Speaking of the non-binding resolution, this is the greatest headline ever: “Kirk Douglas wins slavery apology from American politicians” Playing a slave in a movie is quite a bit like being a slave, so I’ve heard. Face it, Sarah Palin is the next Ronald Reagan. After all, we all remember Reagan’s “oh, poor pitiable me being picked on by media elite baddies” strategy. Speaking of Palin, my hyper-clever “Godwink’s Law” hasn’t caught on at all. Get on that, will ya? And speaking of Reagan, he could be exhumed today and be the GOP front runner tomorrow. If you ask me, the best part of the media coverage of the Iranian protests has been all the coverage devoted to how they are getting their coverage.

So she’ll have a legitimate shot at the Presidency when she’s about 70?
I doubt she will still be hot by then. Should that matter? No.
but it does.
I bet you are full of random thoughts
WKW: “I think the U.S. needs a ‘Supreme Leader Czar.’ Someone to take care of all the problems we have with Supreme Leaders. Maybe create a ‘Department of Supreme Leaders Activities.’”
I hereby nominate myself for this position.
The current GOP leadership loves Reagan the way they love the military — as a fetishized abstract concept only. If Ronnie “Citizen of the World” Reagan were to rise today, he’d be branded a commie traitor by Rush & Newt.
Reagan’s value to the Repubs lies solely in his ability to remain dead.
HCM: “Reagan’s value to the Repubs lies solely in his ability to remain dead.”
That’s just sad.
