Well, maybe if our troops, the Iranian protesters, or the Somalian refugees had had the good sense to sing a few famous songs 25 years ago, then they’d be getting the ’round-the-clock TV coverage that you seem to think they “deserve” today …

Could not have put that better myself. I actually felt sorry for Farrah Fawcett. At least half of my generation’s males had a FF poster to, um, look at.
