Sarah Palin finds way to make America better – by slagging the U.S. in Hong Kong

September 23, 2009 by William K. Wolfrum

We all wondered how Sarah Palin would help make the U.S. a better place after she quit the governorship of Alaska. Well, it seems she’s found her niche – by criticizing the U.S. and Barack Obama during a paid speech in Hong Kong:

Palin criticized Obama’s plan to give the Fed powers to monitor risks to the financial system. A meltdown last year led to $1.6 trillion of bank losses and writedowns and triggered a global recession. …

In her speech, she called the Obama administration’s decision to impose duties on Chinese tires a “mistake” and said America’s alliance with Japan “must continue to be the linchpin” of regional security. …

And, for the hell of it, she also dabbled in foreign policy:

“We simply cannot turn a blind eye to China’s policies and actions that could undermine international peace and security. China has some 1,000 missiles aimed at Taiwan and no serious observer believes that it poses a military threat to Beijing,” she said. “Those same Chinese forces made our friends in Japan and Australia kinda nervous. China provides support for some of the most questionable regimes from Sudan to Burma to Zimbabwe.”

Expect the “Sarah Palin Pay-per-Anti-Americanism World Tour” to continue.

This “paying Palin to speak” thing is quite possibly the best idea ever. I can see no downside to this course of action at all. What could possibly go wrong. And in what way, Charlie?

Selling us out to the commies, eh, Scarah?
Her plastic surgeon should have sowed her lips closed…but that would disappoint so many old fat angry guys on SO many different levels.

Criticizing a US President overseas during a time of war? I bet Palin would still have no problem selling country albums.

    Oh my gawd.

Her incoherent babbling just needs to stop. Now.

If only I could expound on the stuff she said…but sadly I am not allowed…

Also…is she aware that she is technically IN China? I mean, I know Hong Kong is self governed and all, but so is Tibet (HA!). Does she have the slightest modicum of understanding of how China works? Oy w/ the poodles already.

I am backing away from this now…two topics I just can’t resist talking about…my BFF Sarah, and China. Gah!

President-in-Waiting Plain is demonstrating her rare grasp of international politics and diplomacy and, you must admit, she didn’t utter even on “such as” during her remarks.

I can see it now, the White House, 2013, and newly sworn-in President Palin’s first piece of business is to order ‘them Chinks’ to stand down with those missiles aimed at Taiwan. A few hours later, the Chinese ambassador informs the White House that his country will be buying no more T-Bills and dumping what they have on the world market. Then China attacks and overruns Taiwan. Palin’s top economic advisor, Samuel “Joe” Wurzelbacher, tells the president he ‘didn’t have no idea’ that our economy was being propped up by Red Chinese money. Palin, in desperation, orders the Pentagon to attack Canada as a distraction as the economy tanks completely and the banks close. The Pentagon refuses her order and she fires every officer down to the rank of Lieutenant. At about that time, at the behest of a merciful world, a brigade of RCMP Mounties invade the White House and arrest Palin and her staff, sending them to be imprisoned in an over-priced sports arena in Wasilla, Alaska. Congress is suspended, the Supreme Court is disbanded, Jack Layton is temporarily installed as US president until an election can be held to convert to a Parliamentary form of govenrment and, finally, Americans get single-payer Canadian-style universal health care, all thanks to electing Sarah Palin president..

So the Chinese government has decided to boast national morale by paying foreign imbeciles to expose themselves? What a clever media strategy. I hope China wins the game they are playing with the other superpowers.

[...] They can see the endless treasonous comments from Conservatives, and realize that Conservatives have no interest in “We the People.” They can see that Conservatives only cater to the rich, regardless of nationality. They can see Conservative leaders kissing up to nations like China, while people in their own nation are dependent on the charity of others for a semblance of health care. [...]
